Ever since they were the size of bricks mobile phones have been something of a status symbol. Even in school you have to have the right phone in order to look cool. Your mobile phone says far more about you than your clothes these days. This probably accounts for the popularity of the Smartphone it is the next step up and not only do they look good they do some amazing stuff. You can email and keep up with your social networking on the go so you never need to be out of touch with what is going on.In essence they are like a computer in your pocket that you can make calls on and a fantastic piece of technology. However, just like your laptop they are vulnerable to viruses and spam and can be accessed by a lot more people than just the person who owns them. The trouble is that most of us just think that they are a mobile phone with some really cool features; we don’t think that they need to be treated like a computer and need to have the appropriate mobile antivirus software downloaded before they are safe
